Terms of use

Draft for legal review · October 2026

These terms apply when you use Tamapay to pay a property developer in the Philippines. They explain what Tamapay does, what it does not do, and what we expect from you. Please read them before you make a payment.

What Tamapay does

Tamapay lets you pay amounts you owe a developer, such as a reservation fee, a down payment, a monthly amortization or association dues, from wherever you live. You pay online, and we pass the money to your developer in Philippine pesos with a record of who paid and for which unit.

Your developer may send you a payment link by email, or you may set up auto-debit so your monthly installment is charged to your card on schedule. The auto-debit terms explain how that works.

Agreeing to these terms

By opening a payment link, entering your payment details or confirming a payment, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use Tamapay.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you pay for someone else, such as a family member who owns the unit, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.

Tamapay is not part of your property sale

Your contract to buy or reserve a property is between you and your developer. Tamapay only processes the payment. We do not sell property, set prices, schedules or penalties, or decide whether a payment is due.

Questions about your unit, your contract, turnover, cancellations or the amount you owe should go to your developer. We will help where we can, for example by sending your developer the payment record.

Making a payment

You can pay by card, and where available by bank transfer or e-wallet. Before you confirm, you will see the amount, the developer you are paying and the unit or reference it is for. Check these carefully.

A payment is complete when we confirm it on screen or by email. We then credit it to your developer. Your developer decides when the payment is posted to your account with them.

Your bank, card issuer or e-wallet provider may approve or decline a payment, and may have its own rules and limits. We cannot override their decision.

Fees and currency

If a fee applies to your payment, it will be shown before you confirm. We will not add a fee you were not shown.

Amounts are set in Philippine pesos. If your card or account is in another currency, your bank or card issuer may convert the amount and charge its own fees or exchange rate. Those are set by them, not by Tamapay.

Refunds and disputes

Because your payment goes to your developer, refunds for property reasons are decided by your developer. If something went wrong with the payment itself, such as a double charge, we will look into it. Our refunds and disputes page explains how to ask.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate details, including your name, email address and the unit or reference you are paying for.
  • Only use cards and accounts that you are allowed to use.
  • Keep payment links and any codes we send you private.
  • Tell us quickly if you see a payment you did not make.

What you must not do

  • Use Tamapay for anything illegal, including fraud or moving money that is the proceeds of crime.
  • Pretend to be someone else or use another person's payment details without their permission.
  • Try to break, overload or get around the security of our website or systems.
  • Copy, scrape or resell our service or content.

When we may stop or hold a payment

We may decline, hold or reverse a payment, or block access to Tamapay, if we reasonably believe a payment is fraudulent or unauthorised, if the law or a regulator requires it, or if you break these terms. Where we are allowed to, we will tell you why.

We may also need to ask you for identification or information about where your money comes from before we process a payment.

Our responsibility to you

We work to keep Tamapay available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by banks, card networks, internet outages or other events outside our reasonable control.

We are not responsible for the property, the developer's obligations to you, or any loss that comes from your contract with the developer.

To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim about a payment is limited to the amount of that payment. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Philippine consumer law that cannot be limited.

Your personal data

We use your personal data to process your payments and keep them secure. Our privacy notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.

Our name and content

The Tamapay name, logo, website and software belong to Tamapay. You may use them only to make and keep track of your payments.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects you, for example if you are enrolled in auto-debit, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, either of us may take the matter to the proper courts of the Philippines.
